The Nature Conservancy is allowing us access to a "Closed to the public" preserve that few people have ever seen. Come enjoy some time fly fishing and/or hiking in the beautiful Phantom Canyon!
Located between Ft Collins and Laramie, Phantom Canyon is a spectacular rim-to-rim sanctuary, encompassing four miles of the North Fork of the Cache la Poudre River in one of norther Colorado’s last roadless canyons.
Those that know how to fly fish are welcome to bring their fishing gear. The rest are welcome to enjoy the beauty of this preserved area by join the short hike down to and along the river (0.75 mile one way) and a canyon rim trail (0.6 mile loop).
Lunch will be back at the parking lot afterwards and fishers are welcome to stay the afternoon.
